Research
Emil Jellinek
Reason for researching: When looking into the work of Ferdinand Porche, I saw the name Emil Jellinek. Jellinek is the reason Porsche was hired at Austro Daimler and he is also the reason the Maja was created. No, the Maja did not outshine the more recent automotive invention that Jellinek was tied to (The Mercedes 35hp) but it is one that I gained intrest in for some reason. Fun fact: The Maja was also named after one of Jellinek's daughters, like the Mercedes
Some questions I want to eventually answer and investigate: Since the Mercedes was far better than the Maja, does this mean Wilhelm Maybach was far better than Ferdinand Porche? Since Jellinek was imprisoned and sought after by three different countries for suspected espionoge, could this mean he was set up/ the automotive industry didn't want him to continue on making automotive breakthroughs?

8/1/2026: I have no idea how i will attack this project yet, I just got the idea right now
8/4/2026: After joining a forum filled with 2008 Land Rover Lr2 car owners like myself (I will attach the forum link below), I found out that sadly I wasn't going to be able to complete this project. When I asked if I could complete my project under a thread about seat removals, I received the answer that it is too complicated to do due to the complex wiring connected to the LR2 seats for safety. I decided that I didn't want to risk driving a car that was going to be far less safe- I drive on highways alot. Below I will attach the forum conversation. After discussing my project on the forum, I did my own investigation and found out that everything that was stated in the forum was absolutly correct.
Fail Reasoning: too unsafe and complex
